"Crickets and Life's Wicket: Are We the Players or the Audience?"

My earliest memories regarding cricket are the ones where my brother would get up super early in the morning, collect all his friends (or chillar party as we liked to call them), gather around and play in the ground till noon, in the scorching heat of May. He would come back all drenched in sweat but the smile and contentment he had was surely unmatched.

All this reminiscing of the archived memories just compel me to think of our roles in life. Are we the batsman, trying to score runs as life keeps throwing problems disguised as balls or are the balls an opportunity to score and rejoice?

Or or, are we the bowler? Trying again and again and again to hit that wicket.

I don't know about you, but I for sure am the audience. In my own life too. I feel as though life keeps happening and I just sit there as a spectator watching it unfold. Am I enjoying the game, I don't know. Perhaps I'm. Perhaps I'm not. However, one thing I do know is that being the audience allows me to witness the highs and lows, the victories and defeats, without being directly involved in the game. It grants me the freedom to cheer for the players, empathize with their struggles, and appreciate their triumphs. Like a spectator at a cricket match, I can experience a myriad of emotions as I watch life's unpredictable game unfold before my eyes. And perhaps, in this role, I find solace and a sense of purpose, knowing that even though I may not actively participate, my presence as an observer matters. So, as I continue to sit on the sidelines, I embrace the uncertainty and cherish the moments, for life's game of cricket is a spectacle worth spectating.

And as I ponder over the whimsical nature of life, I can't help but also wonder: are we all just cricket balls in the cosmic game of existence? Bouncing from one experience to another, spinning through the air of destiny, hoping to land in the right hands or crash through the stumps of our goals. So, whether we are the batsman, the bowler, or the audience, let us embrace the playful absurdity of it all. Let us dance to the rhythm of life's umpire, swinging our bat of resilience, and savoring each wicket we take or concede. After all, in this grand game of cricket we call life, it's the unexpected twists and turns that make it truly remarkable. So, let us play on and relish the sweet taste of victory or the bitter pill of defeat, for the game, my friends, is forever in session.
